We are Wayne and Kristina Carpenter, of Annapolis, Maryland, and our primary hobby is long distance,
self-contained bicycle touring. We completed an open-ended tour of Southeast Asia September 2005. I

There are hundreds of photos that upload very quickly. We’re still working on the Spoketales site and
hope to have it completed in the not-too-distant future. The reason we have not finished the web site is
because we since have ridden both the North and South islands of New Zealand as well as traversed the
Australian continent by riding from Adelaide to Darwin.
On those rides, we had our 14-year-old grandson, William, with us. I dare say that was more of an
adventure than the entire Southeast Asia ride or those of New Zealand and Australia combined! You
older riders will know exactly what I'm talking about. It was a wonderful adventure that we hope to publish
soon on the web.
